The Cottage

Poocks Cottage in Oareford (Somerset) sleeps up to 5 people in three bedrooms. One double, one twin and one single. There is a family bathroom upstairs and a good shower in the downstairs cloakroom.

Downstairs there is a large entrance hall with lots of space for hanging for coats and boots, an open plan kitchen and dining area with underfloor heating under the flagstones. A sitting room and snug.

Detached country cottage with private garden and off-road parking in an idyllic rural location. Perfect for those wanting to ‘get away from it all’ (no TV). It is a fabulous area for walking, with the South West coast path passing nearby.

Relax

There is a sitting room with an efficient wood-burner for topping up the heat and keeping cosy on cooler evenings, plus a another 'snug' with open-fire.

Eating

There is an open-plan kitchen with dining area, with underfloor heating beneath the flagstones.

The kitchen is fitted with a range cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Other equipment includes a toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.

Garden

There is a private and enclosed garden to the rear of the cottage with table and chairs for eating outside.

Bedrooms

Sleeps up to 5 people in three upstairs bedrooms; one double, one twin and one single room.

Bathrooms

The family bathroom is upstairs with a bath with shower attachment, loo and hand basin.

There is also a downstairs cloakroom with a shower, loo and hand basin.

Pets

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £15 will be added to your invoice. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

More details

A variety of books, games and jigsaws are provided. Please note, there is no TV. There is Wifi for mobile calls and emails (but it is not fast enough for streaming TV or films). For emergencies there is a BT landline.

Bed linen and towels are provided and all beds are made up for your arrival.

A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided so you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive.

Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets are all provided.

Unless arranged otherwise the cottage will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrivel. Departure is mid morning of the last day.

We ask you to keep the cottage tidy and respect as though it were your own home.

Poocks Cottage is only available for week / fortnight breaks during peak periods (Friday changeover). Short breaks - minimum 3 nights are available at other times of the year.
